ADELITA GRIJALVA

Pima County Board of Supervisors

Moving Pima County Forward

Adelita Grijalva is a champion for everyone in our Pima County Community. A native Tucsonan, she grew up attending our local schools and earned her degree at the University of Arizona. Quite simply, Adelita loves our community and is committed to seeing everyone in it thrive.

Adelita has a special relationship with the youth in our community, both in her role on the Tucson Unified School District Governing Board and as the Director of Pima County Teen Court, a juvenile diversion program. She has worked tirelessly on this issue for nearly three decades, and our Pima County community is stronger because of it.

Thanks to this critical experience, as your Supervisor, Adelita will fight for:

  • Putting the health and safety of you and your family first. That means in and out of a crisis, she will make decisions guided by science

  • An equitable economic recovery that leaves our community stronger than before

  • Supporting the development of our small businesses, not just big corporations

  • Investing in sustainable infrastructure development that improves our quality of life, creates good paying jobs, and protects our environment

  • Supporting the expansion of the Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan to protect this integral, beautiful part of our Pima community

  • Coordinate with local school Districts to provide educational opportunities to community members
